My passion is to help people achieve optimal wellness and to feel their absolute best. I believe strongly in the evidence-based functional medicine approach, which looks at the body as a system and focuses on the underlying root cause of disease and dysfunction. This wholistic approach resolves imbalances in the body that can have a systemic impact rather than simply addressing individual symptoms or ailments. I understand and respect each person's biochemical individuality based on their unique biological and physiological makeup, which is comprised of how their genes interact with lifestyle and environmental factors.
Like many of you, I grew up eating a lot of convenient, processed, and fast food. When my grandmother, who I was very close to and am a spitting image of, passed away from lymphoma cancer at the young age of 63, it hit me that these were my genes, yet I was not going to let that prevent me from living a long healthy life. This is where my passion for nutrition and health evolved and it’s been an incredible journey. I knew I wanted to help others on their journey as well so I decided to go back to school and attended Bastyr University where I received a B.S. in Nutrition. After being introduced to functional medicine, I immediately connected with the root cause approach and decided to pursue a master's degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from University of Western States.
I wholeheartedly believe that you hold the key to your health and by making important lifestyle changes you can also live a long healthy life. I stress healthy because living a long life on medication and fighting disease will not be enjoyable. My goal is to partner with you, hear your story, uncover imbalances, and provide the tools you need to help reveal your best self. You deserve it!
